Kristoffer Widlund

Kristoffer was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Even during his school years, he was mentored by renowned trainers in Sweden and successfully participated in several Swedish championships. His most influential trainers during this time were Jan Malmborg and Jan-Olof Wannius. After graduating from high school, Kristoffer moved to Germany, where he rode for Achaz von Buchwaldt. Following this excellent and instructive period, Kristoffer received an offer to ride for Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Kristoffer worked as a rider for Rolf for four years. During this time, he learned a great deal about training young horses, show jumping, and the dressage-based training of show jumpers at the highest level. He also expanded his knowledge of stable and sport horse management under Rolf's guidance. Kristoffer concluded his time in Sweden with a Swedish Master Horsemanship certificate.

Kristoffer has lived abroad since 1995, first in Germany and since 2007 in Switzerland. During this time, his equestrian development was supported and encouraged by Reiner Supan (GER), Albert Voorn (NED), Walther Gabathuler (SUI), and Susanne Behring (GER). He also benefited from collaborations with Jens Fredricson (SWE) and the Philippaerts family (BEL).

Twenty years ago, Kristoffer took on his first management position in the equestrian industry and has remained loyal to the field ever since. He has held management positions in various companies and run his own businesses. Over these many years, Kristoffer has trained hundreds of young horses, many of which have gone on to achieve success in top-level international competition. Kristoffer himself has achieved success on the international stage up to Grand Prix level (155cm). Since his youth, Kristoffer has found great joy in teaching, training, and coaching, and several of his students now compete at an international level.

In addition to his own sports career, Kristoffer successfully completed a degree in business administration at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in 2012.
